Yuwie – Have you Heard of it?

By Chris Stirling On September 18, 2007 1 Comment
Are you on Myspace or Facebook?

Most people answer yes to this question – and for good reason they are a great way to keep in touch with friends and family.

And they are fun too

But there is a catch that you probably don’t even know about with both those sites.

Here is the catch – you do all the work and MySpace and Facebook make millions each month.

You see both those sites generate revenue from the advertisements that are all over each page. Each time you go to a new page a new ad pops up and then MySpace or Facebook get paid.

That doens’t seem fair does it. After all you are the one doing all the work.

Well there is a new site that actually pays you a percentage of that money. Don’t worry, just like the other sites there is never any cost to you.

This site is called Yuwie

Here is a great page on Yuwie with videos and information on how you can earn money by doing what you are already doing on those other sites.

Online Customer Surveys Help Successful Businesses

By Chris Stirling On September 17, 2007 No Comments

Companies can discover what consumers really want from . These surveys work to allow survey takers privacy so they can give honest opinions without pressure. This occurs because the surveys are anonymous and online, allowing people to fill out their own answers without having to speak to someone or even sign their name, all in the comfort of their own homes.

Customer opinion kills off competitors and keeps some companies in business. are the quickest ways to find important information, so that a company can serve their public, increase their sales, and market their goods or services more effectively. Online survey services are skilled in specialized questioning aimed at providing good results. These online survey services will create surveys for companies — but aren’t inexpensive, by any means.

Click here to earn up to $150 an hour!

In fact, when businesses hire other companies to create and examine , it can cost a considerable amount of money. Most of the companies doing the hiring consider that money well spent, as the information gathered from online customer surveys can make or break the future of a business.

Using internet survey software, anyone can create his or her own survey, and many create surveys for fun or entertainment alone, or to try some "do it yourself" online research. Generally professionals who create surveys with internet survey software will generate responses that most benefit a company, though.

So how do companies get people to answer online customer surveys? Often, people are taking these to be compensated. Many companies are offering prizes or cash for taking one of their online customer surveys, and people will divulge all sorts of private information in exchange for these incentives. This exchange pays off, as companies get information that is critical to increasing their sales and developing their marketing campaigns.

Online customer surveys benefit both customers and businesses by providing the public with more of what it wants. Surveys can also benefit opposing businesses. Competitors will often study customer data from a variety of sources, so that they can create marketing plans that will enhance their own businesses. This is a strategy most companies use to turn survey results into valuable information for more than one interested party.

People are finding that they are able to offer honest and bold opinions through online customer surveys, enabling companies to get a glimpse at the true spirit of their customers. This marketing information is very valuable to companies from all over the world, making online customer surveys one of the most interesting marketing tools to come along since the comment card.

What to sell online

By Chris Stirling On September 16, 2007 No Comments

If you are looking to [tag]start a home business[/tag] and wondering what you can sell online the answer is – sell what you know and are passionate about.  Sounds simple but the options are so many that it may help to first rule out what you should not sell online.

There are 3 simple questions you can ask to ensure you are selling the right item to avoid going down the wrong product path.

The questions have nothing to do with researching supply and demand or locating a niche market to sell to. They actually need to come before you do that kind of research. And if you violate one of them, then you can guarantee the product you choose will NOT sell very well online and your business will be in a bad place right from the start.

So here they are…

Question #1: Can you find the product easily at the local supermarket, or mall, or local store?

Ask yourself "why would people go online to buy something they can easily get on their regular weekly shopping trip?"

Unless your product is something truly unique, or has a unique selling feature such as a lower price or is a hard-to-find product you will find it tough to compete with the fact that your customer can go to the local store and get the item today without waiting and shipping costs.

Question #2: Is your product a "time-sensitive" product?

If your customer needs it right away – then how are you going to convince them to wait 2-3 days for it to be shipped to them?

For example, if you are thinking of selling a sore throat spray do you think your customer will wait for you to ship the cure to their sore throat?  No – they will go to their local drug store and get what they need today. ( also a good example for question #1)

Question #3: Does your product belong in a market with a ton of competition?

Do a quick Google for your product and you will quickly see if there is already a huge number of savvy marketers selling to your intended customer. If that is the case you should probably choose a different product.

A real easy example of this is Amazon.com. They’re one of the hugest online vendors out there. If you decide to start your own site selling books, or music, or DVDs, they will be your competition – do you think you stand a good chance at succeeding?  Probably not.

Unless you figure out a way to offer a lower price (doubtful) or cater to a very specific niche Amazon hasn’t yet tapped (difficult), you’re going to have a hard time getting your business off the ground.

I don’t want to discourage you here – Nothing online is impossible – but remember that the more competitive the product you are selling the more time and money it will cost for you to become successful.

These questions can seem very obvious but you would be surprised at how many people don’t ask them before they ever start.  Without asking them you can sepnd a long time working extremely hard for minuscule results. And if these 3 simple questions are asked at the start making money online does not have to be that hard!

If you think these questions rule out most products then you are not being creative enough – if you look hard enough there are thousands of great products that people want, can’t find locally, and can’t find online easily.  If you are selling one of those products you can hit a home run every time!

To get started selling online Erich Winnecke has put together a great program that gives you a free website and offers a comprehensive training program called 3 Phase Profits Training.  You can read more here www.toponlineprofit.com

BlogRush Review

By Chris Stirling On September 16, 2007 No Comments

Internet Marketing master John Reese has just released a  new, free viral blogging tool , which when added to your blog should help drive targeted traffic to your blog.

According to this Technorati report, there are 1.6 million blog posting per day and 175,000 new blogs created each day with over 50 million being tracked.

This is a huge and massively growing market that John’s new blog tool called Blog Rush allows you to easily tap into.

, is a blog sidebar widget that shows the titles of five other people’s blog posts, along with the name of the blog, changing every time the page is refreshed. Every time the widget is displayed on your site, the title of your latest blog post is shown on the widget on some other related blog, promoting your blog around the Internet.

It chooses the blogs to cross-promote your posts with based upon both the category that you chose for your blog to be in when you signed up to BlogRush and some kind of contextual algorithm so the links to your posts show up next to similar blog posts on other blogs so people are more likely to click on it.

Of course this also takes people away from your blog to other blogs, but the Blog Rush tool is designed to open in a new window when you click on one of the links so your viewer never actually leaves your blog. It will also help blog visitors in any niche find more information related to whatever they are reading about, sometimes finding that information by leaving other blogs to come to yours. Bottom line with this tool you will gain more visitors than you will lose as people are more likely to read the post they are on and then go to related posts on other blogs after. The only way to know for sure is to test.

Fortunately there are also reporting tools included for free so you can login and find out just how many new readers BlogRush is bringing you. If you look at the right side of this blog you will see that the widget has been added to the sidebar.

When we first added it the site, the related posts were pretty far off. One was actually about Income Tax which is not what this blog is about. However, it was very new and as it builds traction, it will have more posts to pool from and the algorithm can be improved. In fact, as I write this post, there are much more relevant posts showing up.

Now, here’s the viral part:

Not only do you get your blog promoted when someone reads your blog, with one promotion of your blog per page view of your blog, but also, when you get someone to join , every time they display it on their site you are credited again to show your last blog post on another site. This actually goes many levels deep, so everyone they refer credits you as well, and everyone those people refer credit you also, etc.

It’s kind of like a pyramid-scheme, but even if 175,000 new blogs weren’t being created every day, the people at the bottom of the pyramid still get credited for every time their posts are viewed, so it is win-win at all levels.

This tool is another example of why John Reese is brilliant at internet marketing. He has made this tool not only easy to use but easy to promote – making it more powerful for its users. First and foremost BlogRush is free and the entire sales page fits above the fold. The usefulness is so self-evident that the sales page is almost unnecessary.

Second, after you register, but before it gives you the code, it explains the viral aspect of it and uses a tell-a-friend script to let you start spreading the word so that you can begin creating your down-line right away. You’ll find yourself thinking of who the best people are to tell about it and filling in that form, so you can get great bogs in your down-line and get those credits.

Third, people can also sign up under you by clicking the “BlogRush” logo at the bottom of the widget in your blog. So curious readers can join with no sales pitch on your part and are added to your down-line.

Like everything John touches this new blog tool is going to spread like wildfire. Make sure you sign up today so you are at the top of the wave and not playing catch-up!

For more information on BlogRush John has created a great video and posted it on his blog.  You can view it here: Blog Rush Video
