Taking Online Surveys

By Chris Stirling On December 27, 2007 No Comments

People that are into are very protective of their ultimate secret to turning taking online surveys into a money-making career. That secret is, of course, how they made all of that money! With online surveys, one has to fill out a good amount of them in order to see any real money coming in worth noticing. Many of the people that take surveys regularly have secrets and tips to making the process as quick as possible. The faster they can answer a survey, the more they can answer, and the more money that comes in.

So what separates those that make a career out of checking boxes and answering consumer questions from those who just can’t seem to make it worthwhile? Speed is the answer to everything. Many people into swear by shortcuts to make the survey-taking go quicker. They pick normative answers to each question and offer little by way of actual personal information. In other words, they click without thinking.

Some people use online survey tools. These tools make finding the quickest and easiest surveys a snap. Online survey tools can even provide information on which surveys pay and which ones don’t. Of course, two can play at that game. Online survey tools provide information companies, allowing them to find and locate more survey customers and get more people to take their surveys.

Creating an online survey that people will take is the job of many marketing companies, and they do try to curb people from making careers out of taking online surveys. Frequent survey takers know how to get around any obstacle. It is almost like a game of who is chasing whom, but those creating an online survey may have a leg up in the end.

The gathering of private information is the best way for an to prevent people from taking online surveys too frequently or using online surveys as a serious form of income. They use geographical information, which can even be located through the computer’s IP address, to disqualify certain people from taking too many surveys. Those taking online surveys too often may be rooted out for new survey takers.

Online survey design is another way for marketers to get ahead of people taking online surveys. Through small online survey design tactics, a marketing company can gather actual information from the survey even through massive amounts of answers. They use filters and special computer programs to do this and locate the lion’s share of the market research.

As people are becoming smarter and start taking online surveys to a level representing that of a career, marketing companies need to come up with new ways to get actual information that counts and makes a difference. Taking online surveys is serious business for both the corporation and the individual working from home.

Why Aren’t you Making Money Online?

By Chris Stirling On December 23, 2007 2 Comments

I get a lot of emails from readers of this blog and subscribers to my newsletter and the most troubling conversation I have is from those that have tried everything online but still are not making money online.

Recently I had a conversation with a subscriber named Peter on this very topic.  I asked "Peter , what’s stopping you from making money online?" Peter replied with "I’ve got no more programs to join, I’ve tried everything and it didn’t work"

In my reply I asked "Do you have a website" Peter replied with a big no and unbelievably he didn’t even have a sensible domain.

Here’s the most unbelievable part. Peter has joined over 15 PAID programs and has never earned a dime online!

Now for those who know me or have been following my blogs you know that I preach taking action.  Without action there is no way you are going to make a dime online.  You can join all the programs and read all the training material but if you never take action it would all be a waste of time and money. Peter has read all the materials in all those programs, watched all the videos, but never took any action from them out of fear of failing.

I told Peter by not taking action on the information he has in his possession he has already failed.  He needs to chose one strategy that he feels the most comfortable with out of all the strategies he has learned about and take action.

Now if you are in a similar boat as Peter but have taken action and you are still not making money online I will ask you the same questions I asked Peter:

What’s stopping you from making money online?

and

What’s the "thing" that you did not do or can’t do that if done you know you’ll make money?

Post your answer below in the comments and I will post in this blog solutions to the common stumbling blocks to making money online.
