Bills to pay, mouths to feed?

By Chris Stirling On July 6, 2009 No Comments

Did you read my last post? I was talking about a business model that has been dubbed as site flipping and why it’s possibly the only business model I know of where you can always tap into rabid buyers and always make a profit. Plus, if you know how to search properly, you can find the gold that you want to sell back to that very same community.

It’s like walking into a second hand car dealership, buying some beat up old car and then taking it away and fixing it up to look and run like a brand new model, then taking it back to the same garage and selling it for 4x the initial asking price.

You’ve got to love investing, right?!

You see, what I love about Ben Shaffer’s system of site flipping is that it flies in the face of most of the junk you’re force fed online…

You know the stuff I am talking about right? The one trick pony, here today, gone tomorrow “tricks” to make a fast buck.

Or perhaps even worse, the overly hyped, seriously time consuming guides to Web 2.0 free traffic and making a sale from Clickbank.

I’m not saying that stuff doesn’t work, but jeez…have you ever tried to DO that stuff? If you can stomach the workload and the uncertainty of making an actual LIVING from that, then great!

But if you’re looking to get started with something soon because you’ve got bills to pay and mouths to feed, I’d suggest a quick peek at this Project Archimedes stuff from Ben.

I know it sounds weird and complicated just from the name, but I’ve been through it and I can assure you, it’s child’s play once you’ve read the guide and watched the supporting videos.

Can you rely on internet marketing anymore?

By Chris Stirling On July 5, 2009 2 Comments

Everybody talks about how cool it is to run an online business and I have to admit, it IS pretty cool once you get rolling and find something that pays well.

But have you ever noticed that these same people are the ones that always seem to be glued to their computer screens and always talk about working 15 hours days most days?

Why is that? Surely the whole point of getting into online marketing is for the free and easy lifestyle right? Or is all that just another lie about this industry?

The truth is, you CAN live the free and easy lifestyle but only if you pick a business that is reliable. After all, what’s the point in making all this money if you’re just going to end up working all day everyday trying to get more traffic and more commissions because you’re worried when the next sale might come in?

That’s the truth you’re not told about: When you make this your full time source of income, do you know how stressful it can be when you’re not sure if you’re gonna make an affiliate sale tomorrow, or whether the traffic will hold up on your eBook website, or whether the cost of PPC advertising will stay at a barely affordable price?

Whilst no business online or offline is totally safe from such worry, the fact is that once you find a marketplace of hungry buyers that never dies down, and you find stuff that you can get for cheap and sell for big money, then that my friend, is when you can stop worrying about when the next paycheck is going to arrive (if at all)

If you’re worried about where your next commission check is going to come from, or whether you’ll be able to support your lavish lifestyle from this business, you might want to check out:

Why? Because THAT is a pretty much foolproof system for tapping into hungry buyers where you can also find cheap stuff to sell back to them at crazy high prices and unlike the real estate markets or stock markets, there is a “property” or “stock” that you can buy low and sell high with minimal risk.

P.S. If you would like to learn more about Project Archimede then read my full honest review where I cover all the good and bad points and outline in full detail what this program is all about.

Site Rush Reviewed

By Chris Stirling On July 2, 2009 No Comments

There are more ways to make money online than there are people actually making it these days. But there are very few ways to make a reliable income that have already been talked about before, as too many people are too busy rehashing the same information and putting their own twist on things.

Whilst that’s all fine and dandy, many of us are getting tired working our fingers to the bone just to pull in a few hundred dollars in “profit” per month. Constantly trying to find traffic, get links, JV partners, better search engine rankings…and that’s before a person has had the chance to even THINK about buying our stuff (if at all).

In fact, when you think about it you’re probably going to spend hundreds of dollars, endless hours and lots of brainpower and additional learning just to get some of the basic “old skool” ways of earning some green online nailed down.

Stuff like selling ebooks, being an affiliate for someone else, earning pennies for running ads…it’s all well and good but most of these methods of online income require lots of your own time, commitment and ultimately end up tying you down instead of setting you free.

Further more, you are always limited by the size of the market you’re working in…so if you want to scale your business up, there’s only so many partners and places to advertise before you run out of customers who want to buy your stuff, so scalability is another issue we all face with traditional internet marketing based businesses.

I recently went out and searched for products that teach methods of a different nature, where you can potentially avoid the usual setbacks of internet marketing and don’t need to have certain sales skills, or specific talents or expertise to make money online.

From my search, I found one particular program that seemed interesting…called Site Rush.

Site Rush seems quick, it appeals to all types of skill and financial backgrounds, it deals with a growing business model trend known as site flipping and is pretty inexpensive to try out, so…

I went ahead and bought Site Rush, a digital downloadable guide, to see what it does, whether it’s possible to jump on the site flipping bandwagon, whether it’s possible to do with little money and how easy, hard, or risky this approach to making money online truly is.

How to Blog on Facebook

By Chris Stirling On July 2, 2009 3 Comments

Sites like Facebook and Twitter are the wave of the future. They combine social networking with an ability to drown out some of the clutter of the Internet. Both have grown spectacularly. So, much so that it’s not unusual to hear someone ask someone else “Are you on Facebook?” almost as a get to know yoUltimate Blogging Themeu type greeting. What’s so interesting about Facebook and Twitter is their similarity to blogs.

It’s obvious that Twitter is a sort of “micro-blog”. But did you know you can actually blog on Facebook? That’s right; you can combine the power and appeal of Facebook with the community building of blogging. Want to learn how? Let’s look at these steps.

The first thing you need to do is to open a Facebook account. If you don’t already have one, just go to www.facebook.com and start one. Once you have an account, open it up. You might want to take some time to familiarize yourself with Facebook. See how it works and check out the general functions. Once you do this, you’re ready to start blogging.

In order to start blogging on Facebook, you need to add the Blog It application. It’s easiest if you’ll just use the search engine on the top right corner to search for “Blog It”. The application you want will be at the top of the list. Click on the link for the application and follow the instructions. You’ll get to a part where it says you have to allow the program access to your information. Don’t worry about that, just click it.

At this point, you’re looking at a whole list of blog types. There’s Blogger, TypePad, Vox, Twitter, and both the self-hosted and WordPress hosted versions of WordPress. Choose the type of blog you want to link to your Facebook account. Once you finish with this, you’ll want to test your blog.

What’s so cool about linking your blog with Facebook is there’s a news feed that let’s others know you’ve created a blog. So, in effect youBlogging to the Bank‘re merging the power of Facebook with the power of blogging.

So, what can you do with this? You’ll have to experiment and see. It also has a lot to do with what your blog is about and how you use it.

Interestingly, you can also hook up your Facebook account with your Twitter account. Now, that’s a potent combination! Play around with different blogs, Twitter, and Facebook. These are new, unchartered waters, so you’ll have to see how to best use this. It’s going to be really powerful, though.
