How to Blog on Facebook
Sites like Facebook and Twitter are the wave of the future. They combine social networking with an ability to drown out some of the clutter of the Internet. Both have grown spectacularly. So, much so that it’s not unusual to hear someone ask someone else “Are you on Facebook?” almost as a get to know yo
u type greeting. What’s so interesting about Facebook and Twitter is their similarity to blogs.
It’s obvious that Twitter is a sort of “micro-blog”. But did you know you can actually blog on Facebook? That’s right; you can combine the power and appeal of Facebook with the community building of blogging. Want to learn how? Let’s look at these steps.
The first thing you need to do is to open a Facebook account. If you don’t already have one, just go to www.facebook.com and start one. Once you have an account, open it up. You might want to take some time to familiarize yourself with Facebook. See how it works and check out the general functions. Once you do this, you’re ready to start blogging.
In order to start blogging on Facebook, you need to add the Blog It application. It’s easiest if you’ll just use the search engine on the top right corner to search for “Blog It”. The application you want will be at the top of the list. Click on the link for the application and follow the instructions. You’ll get to a part where it says you have to allow the program access to your information. Don’t worry about that, just click it.
At this point, you’re looking at a whole list of blog types. There’s Blogger, TypePad, Vox, Twitter, and both the self-hosted and WordPress hosted versions of WordPress. Choose the type of blog you want to link to your Facebook account. Once you finish with this, you’ll want to test your blog.
What’s so cool about linking your blog with Facebook is there’s a news feed that let’s others know you’ve created a blog. So, in effect you
‘re merging the power of Facebook with the power of blogging.
So, what can you do with this? You’ll have to experiment and see. It also has a lot to do with what your blog is about and how you use it.
Interestingly, you can also hook up your Facebook account with your Twitter account. Now, that’s a potent combination! Play around with different blogs, Twitter, and Facebook. These are new, unchartered waters, so you’ll have to see how to best use this. It’s going to be really powerful, though.

Blogging and Squidoo, a Marriage Made in Heaven
If you haven’t jumped on the blogging bandwagon, it’s not too late! Not by a long shot. There are thousands of new blogs created each and every day. Unfortunately, almost as many are abandoned each and every day. Only a few make it into any sort of profitability.
There are a number of reasons for this, but the main one is that the blogger gets discouraged. Why do blogging newbies get so discouraged so fast? Well, there are probably several reasons, but one of the big ones is that they never really get any traction with their blog.
The set up the blog, write a few posts, and then….nothing, nada, zilch.
The Internet is no longer a “build it and they will come” medium. It’s a “you better learn how to make traffic” medium. And it’s the lack of traffic that kills most blogs.
So, the big question is…how do you create traffic for your new blog? Fortunately, there are a number of great answers. We’re going to explore one of the best in this article-combining web 2.0 platforms like Squidoo and your blog. It’s a very, very explosive combination. One that, if used right, is likely to send your blog traffic (and your income from your blog) straight up into the stratosphere!
Let’s learn how to do this.
What is Squidoo?
Squidoo is basically a free website platform. But in reality it’s much more than that. Squidoo websites are called “lenses”. And Google just loves Squidoo lenses. If you write your lens correctly, it’s not all that hard to rank it in the top of even very competitive Google searches.
Here is an example of what a Squidoo Lens looks like: Ways To Make Money On The Internet
How’s that going to help your blog?
One of the main factors that Google uses to rank search results is the number and quality of links from outside a given website to the page in question. Links are like votes. The more votes the better. Links are also like a popularity contest, in that not only does the number of links matter, but who you’re linking from matters.
As far as Google is concerned, Squidoo is tops. So, a link from Squidoo to your page that you want to rank is seen as a quality link.
You can easily create Squidoo lenses all day long. Once you get the swing of it, a good one doesn’t take but about five to ten minutes to whip out. In an hour, you could create six links to your webpage. Social bookmark these and give Google a day or two to catch up, and you should see your webpage rank higher and higher in the search results.

Blog Rush is Dead
Well it is official – John Reese has put hte bullet into one of his babies. This week John officially closed the doors on Blog Rush.
This is a bold move and further proof of way John is at the top of the list when it comes to internet businessmen. Despite having millions of users and fantastic intentions the results of Blog Rush were not what John was expecting and he does not see it improving so he has decided to shut the free service down.
I want to thank John for trying to improve the internet. Without efforts like the one John and his team put in to try to make Blog Rush a success the internet and online business would never improve. Not all endevors will be successful but those that never try will never succeed. John Reese tried and despite the lack of success with Blog Rush I am positive the results of his efforts will improve the internet for millions because John is one to learn from his mistakes and move forward.
Count me in for the next product that John Reese launches.
