I find this very important, and also very hard for me to gauge. I do most of my "advertising, not through paying for ads, or even free classifieds, but through "participation" based public awareness campaigns. I interact with forum discussions and blogs on a constant basis, giving information I think mught be helpful, and asking advice for the things I need help with. It is this type of effort that is very labor intensive, but at a cost of zero dollars. While it does produce hits on my website, it very rarely can be tracked to my conversion rate in any measurable way. Is there any way to track how this type of effort effects conversion inclined response?
