Twitter Training for Business Promotion

By Chris Stirling On November 24, 2009 3 Comments

Twitter has become such a force in marketing and advertising that PR and advertising firms are now integrating Twitter and other social network sites into their advertising campaigns. They also provide Twitter training to corporations to teach them how to use Twitter regularly to keep ongoing marketing messages reaching their customers and clients.

Twitter training for these companies often means that one or two people within a company is taught how to take over the company’s Twitter account in order to send out the promotional messages. They are taught how to invite customers to follow the company’s Twitter site by placing follow links on key parts of the company’s website and making it easy to sign up.

Once the twitter training is in place, a company can use the site to keep people informed about new products that are being sold, any sales prices, and company events. This provides a free way to keep customers interested in purchasing from the company without any wait time.

When a company receives Twitter training, they also learn how to insert personalized messages that allow the company to connect with customers on a more personal level. These messages can be humorous Tweets, insights about current events or just comments on the weather; they give personality to the messages and put a human face on a company that might otherwise seem impersonal.

For small businesses, Twitter training can be gained from reading what successful Twitter users recommend to other people using the site for marketing. There are many Twitter training videos, ebooks and reports that teach basic and advanced Twitter promotional methods. With the right use of Twitter messages, getting legions of followers leads to instantaneous, free marketing on a mass scale. This type of marketing power is well worth taking the time to learn more about the site.

Twitter Help From Other Twitter Members

By Chris Stirling On November 22, 2009 No Comments

Most Twitter users both have followers and follow other Twitter members. Often, following several Twitter members and taking note of what those members do right and what they do wrong can often be a valuable form of Twitter help.

The best advice when using Twitter to promote a small business or other money-making ventures is to create a mixture of different types of messages that are sent out through the site. Even large companies use a mixture of promotional messages and personal messages from their employees. When following several Twitter users, take note of what type of behavior makes you want to not follow their account. This can be the best type of Twitter help because it teaches what type of behaviors will be annoying to your own potential followers.

Twitter help can also be had from the most popular Twitter users. If they are getting millions of followers to listen to what they have to say, use the same techniques that they do. This often means using a multimedia approach, adding pictures and video to your messages to hold the interest of followers. Posting too infrequently is often a way to lose the interest of followers as well, but posting too often can be annoying enough to cause followers to leave. Finding the right balance is key.

Twitter help can also be had from the many Twitter marketers who write articles and guides about how to best use the site for promotions. Many expert Twitter users even Tweet their advice from their Twitter accounts. By finding popular, successful Twitter users and learning how they have found success with the site, it’s possible to get the kind of Twitter help that can make the difference between a handful of followers and hundreds of thousands of them. With those numbers, a marketing message sent through the site has an enormous amount of power.

How to Twitter to Promote Products Online

By Chris Stirling On November 20, 2009 3 Comments

For anyone who makes money online by selling products, Twitter can be a big help. It’s an easy way to keep past customers and potential customers informed about what is for sale. Once a promoter knows how to Twitter, the micro-blogging site can be used to send multiple messages directly to large numbers of people who may be interested in buying the items. Twitter can be used to promote items that are being sold in a member’s online store, items that will be sold at a home party or items that are being promoted as a part of an affiliate network.

To use Twitter, sign up for an account with the messaging site. Then, build up a network of followers. Placing a link to make it easy for people to follow a Twitter user can be done to attract followers. The links can be placed on blogs, in forums and anywhere else that a Twitter user spends time online.

Once people learn how to use the site and begin sending out messages, they often attract more and more followers. By following the messages, people get the updates that are sent out through the site. Those messages are also posted on the site.

Twitter members have a page on which their profile and Twitter messages are posted. Members can also include a picture to make the messages more personal. The best way to keep Twitter use interesting to as many people as possible is to keep the messages varied. Some messages should be more personal than others, and not all should be promotional.

As members learn how to Twitter, they discover their best ratio for business and informational or personal messages that should be sent to keep the most followers. With a large number of people checking the site, promotional messages can be sent far and wide.

Having a Home Based Business in a Small Home

By Chris Stirling On November 18, 2009 1 Comment

One of the factors that many people consider when deciding whether to start a home based business is the amount of space that they require. Many people wonder whether they need a dedicated office for their business and whether a small home really affords enough space for an entire business. In most cases, a small home offers plenty of space to run a business if the space is used well.

Many times, a home based business is housed in one corner of a room. With a desk, computer and small filing cabinet, most home businesses can function quite well in little space. There are a number of small corner desks on the market that house a desktop computer, monitor and even some supplies all designed to fit within a small space.

A corner desk will fit into just about any room, or even a landing. Using a small filing cabinet next to the desk, or under it in some cases, allows the storage of receipts, notes, order forms and other paperwork that the home based business requires.

For people who have a laptop computer, their home based business can go anywhere. The back patio can be an office in the afternoons and the living room couch can be the office in the evenings. By keeping most of the business paperwork in a small filing cabinet to keep them from being lost, a desk isn’t even necessary when you have a laptop. This makes a very small space big enough for a home based business.

If space is needed for product inventory, a storage rental unit can be used. These are generally inexpensive and provide an enormous amount of space for inventory items, freeing the home from too many business items.
