What Do You Want To Do?

Before you get started working from home you need to decide what you want to do.  There are so many choices out there that it can be a bit overwhelming.  The choices are as varied as being a freelance writer to selling medical supplies and products.  You don’t even have to have a business.  There are so many companies out there that will just pay you t do a simple service for them. You just pick your hours and do the service then collect a payment.

Now this can sound simple but you need to know what you really want to do and enjoy doing.  If you just do whatever come your way then you will quickly find yourself feeling like it is work and that is not much better than the job you have now.

If you take the time and determine what you really enjoy doing then find a way to make money doing it you will not only enjoy working from home but also make a lot more money.

For example lets say you are a good writer and you enjoy writing and you have a bit of a green thumb. Then you should look for opportunities to make money at home by writing articles about gardening.

Or lets say you love designing MySpace pages and you love cars.  Then look for ways to do just that for a fee.  MySpace is so massive that focusing in on a niche like cars lovers is easy to do.  There is a teenage girl who makes MySpace pages for teen girls.  That’s all she does and she bought a house at 18 years old with no mortgage!

So sit down and figure out what you want to do and then go find the product or market that fits your personal desires.  Failing to do this step will set you up for failure.
