What does it take to succeed in business online?

By Chris Stirling On November 28, 2008 Under Home Business

A super-high I.Q.?

An advanced degree?

Of course, it takes neither of those ‘qualifications’ to make a great living – or even become wealthy – in your own business online.

However, if you’ve been feeling lately like you aren’t ‘brainy’ enough, I want you to take heart in what I’m about to tell you.

Ready?

*Nearly everyone goes through this ‘not good enough’ feeling!*

Most of us don’t get a lot business or marketing training as we grow up, unless we major in those subjects in college, learn from a family business or seek the information out ourselves.

Plus, the practicalities of doing business on the Internet differ just a little bit, even though the same marketing principles still apply.

So, I think what I’m trying to say is ‘go easy on yourself.’ If you’re struggling to create a successful business,
I can promise you it is more than likely due a simple gap in knowledge.  There’s a piece of the puzzle you’re missing or a concept you haven’t learned enough about yet.

The best remedy to this is to read voraciously on the subject of Internet marketing. Absorb all of the concepts, terms and definitions.  Make up ’sample scenarios’ and learn which techniques apply to which situation.

If you do this, I promise you’ll notice a significant difference in your confidence level. You might even feel like a ‘genius’, too!

Yes, I totally agree. You might even have the knowledge to do but could be held back by “not good enough” feeling. Sometimes we just have to push past all those defeating feeling to actually do what we know how to do. Once we do something we will gain more confidence!
