From experience, which one of these free blogs are better: WordPress or Blogspot? Why? Any one of us would like to share. I personally like to know! I need you feedbacks, please.

Mansid – there are 2 versions of Wordpress and both are free. YOu can set up a hosted Wordpress blog for free here http://www.wordpress.com or if you have your own website and want to add a wordpress blog to it check your c-panel for Fantisico and just follow the instructions or go to http://www.wordpress.org to download the package.

And yes Wordpress is very user friendly and there are tons of free tutorials on the web to help you learn how to get started.

Who nows how much is the price to have wordpress software? Any one here has used the sofware? Is it friendly user? Where can I buy it (give me the link)

Lawren you blog looks great – well done. I too started on Blogger when I started blogging. It is a great platform to start. The reason I switched to Wordpress was because of the flexability of WP to customize and add features (plugins). Also hosted blogs like Blogger are not really yours because they are hosted on thier server. If Blogger decided to shut your blog down they can (and they do this often) and there is nothing you can do about it. But that being said – Blogger is still a good platform and there are many successful Blogger blogs making a ton of money.

I don’t use WordPress for my blogs. As a beginner to blogging, I found blogger to be much easier to use than WordPress. I am not sure why, but when I first attempted WordPress, I struggled with it. WordPress was the first blogging tool I attempted to use.

At some point I intend to migrate from Blogger to WordPress. I need to hone my skills-sets in blogging before I do that because of the issues you just explained above. I currently use the free version of blogger, but I primarily write about my experiences as a network marketer. I am not part of an affiliate program and the content I write about is intended to help others who are new to network marketing like me.

How would we transfer all of our content on a wp.com over before it get’s deleted? (Easily? Mine is not spammy but I really don’t want to worry about it either when it appears hosting fees are dirt cheap and I can actually throw in advertising to easily cover that.)

Thank you Chris for your words of wisdom about WordPress. I am fairly new to internet marketing and I recognize that I have a lot to learn. But, as you may be able to see, I have no fear of asking questions; even if they sound a little stupid.

Once I have learned a little more about blogging, I will then be able to consider the option of having my blog hosted and getting my own domain name for it, but this will take a little bit of time. I still have so much more to learn other than blogging. But this is also what makes being an entrepreneur so great. I get the opportunity to spend my time learning about such new and interesting things.

Actually both versions of Wordspress are free but to host a wordpress.org blog you will need your own domain and host service which does have a cost.

Wordpress.com is totally free becuase you are using the wordpress.com domain and server to host your blog. Doing so gives Wordpress the ability to control what goes on their blogs.

Thank you for clearing that up Chris. I take it that the WordPress.org is the paid version and Wordpress.com is the free.

I do believe that the training taught one to start using Wordpress.com because as you know most people who are new to online marketing, don’t have any money or are looking to spend as little as possible.
